i don't believe in jesus but i love christmas. i can't imagine what a cruel world it would be to deprive my child of it.

You'll go far with a closed mind like that. Christmas and Santa are fine and dandy. If you want to raise your kids with them fine its your choice but someone who doesn't isn't an a-hole.
