Well first off, he wasn't even there. It was his wife who agreed with me. I'm sure he doesn't have strong ill will toward Dusty Baker, but I'm sure he probably has his doubts about his managing ability as I'm sure lots of players do toward certain managers. Fact is, if Dusty gives him a spot on the 25-man he'll be the best manager ever in his book. But from a purely unbiased point of view looking at his managing capabilities, he's clearly smart enough to realize Dusty has his shortcomings. And if Baker does become his manager, as a young player he'll likely bend over backwards and do whatever he asks of him regardless of how he might feel about the way he's being managed. I'm sure most of us would too if we were in the same situation. Not to mention she was probably also probably playing along a little bit to my criticism.

my cousin is married to a certain reds player ... i don't want to name names but he's a dominican (i think) pitcher and he erroneously received ROY votes this year.

 

anyway, he hates dusty baker and threatened to kill him. told me right to my face that he was going to stab dusty in the heart when spring training started.
