uh, micah owings?

whoops, just looked at the stats

Zambrano had an OPS+ of 124

Owings had an OPS+ of 97

I guess this was not as bad as I originally thought

It also helps that Owings can't pitch very well and got sent down in July.

I remember a few years back ESPN did a piece on the best hitting pitchers in baseball, and they deduced that Jason Jennings was the best hitting pitcher because he could hit BP home runs farther than Todd Helton...

Here it is: http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=kurkjian_tim&id=1981270

Jennings has 2 career home runs despite hitting in Colorado for 6 years. Weak.

It's ESPN. What do you expect?

Wes Obermueller (when he was still with the Brewers) could hit bombs in BP at Miller Park to places that were only touched by Sammy Sosa in the Home Run Derby, the most legendary being the top of the large Pepsi billboard to the left of the scoreboard in dead center. By ESPN's logic, he's better at hitting home runs than Prince Fielder.
