*sigh*

Another year of watching another team celebrate.

It sucks that it's not the Cubs but it's fun watching a bunch of grown men act like children.

Ugh, I think all the pain and emotions I felt after the NLDS are rushing back into me. Not an easy loss to take when you see an NL team you were better than win it all.

listen to the crowd... that's half of what it would be like in Wrigley :(

Not even. If Wrigley were cheering a World Series title, they'd feel it down in Springfield.

Does the Phanatic get a ring?

Scott Eyre, Matt Stairs and So Taguchi (for the SECOND TIME) will get rings; I imagine the Phanatic will.

Here's to San Francisco or Cleveland winning the 2009 World Series. Just getting it out of the way.

Seriously. I want it to be so that all MLB teams except the Cubs have won it within a 30 year span just so its that much more painful.

fortunately i like the phillies so i am not really thinking about the cubs, but i am even more pissed off at my dad right now.

- stupid white flags waved by the fans as the final pitch is thrown

Could be worse, the 09 World Series could be Washington Nats .v. Texas Rangers or Seattle Mariners..

Where and how do the Cubs lose to the Nats, a Division Series sweep or an NLCS Game 7 loss at Wrigley?

25 years for a city with 4 sports is pretty long.

The Cubs beat out the Brewers for the division. Then sweeps the Giants in the NLDS (which sends the city into a frenzy because better an NL West team in the playoffs=minor world series victory) then they face Washington, in which some Steve Bartman lookalike in Chicago interferes (which he thinks is a foul ball, but turns into a ground rule double) with a ball hit near the stands, and the UMPS call a ground rule double, that forces Furcal to have stop at second. Then we see DeRosa get on a INF error by Guzman, and moves Furcal over to 3rd. (remember the Cubs are down 3-2 at this point in the game and it's Game 7 of the NLCS) ARam/Dunn/Soriano all strikeout to a pitcher who has a 6 era during the regular season, but all of the suddens becomes Brad Lidge in the playoffs with the potentially winning on base and the Nats celebrate their first trip to the World Series at Wrigley Field. The we see a look of WTF on Andre Dawson as he can't decide to be upset or celebrate the game.

Yes, a vivid scene, but something we all won't be surprise to see happen.
