DeRosa was one of the best 2B in the league last year. Utley was clearly the best, but you could make a case that DeRosa was the 2nd or 3rd best.

 

If DeRosa is capable of repeating his performance this year, the Cubs don't need a 2B.

 

As long as DeRosa repeats any of his last 3 seasons, we don't need a 2B.

 

Not to mention he's been one of the very few guys that has actually showed up at the plate in the last 2 postseasons.
