Jon Lester goes for the Sox, as they begin their 2007 World Series title defense.

They will be facing this man:

John Lackey goes for the Angels, who try to reverse their lack of success in the postseason vs. Boston.

Should be an interesting series...

I have a feeling none of us will be watching this game.

I'll watch. I'm not that upset over the loss. It hurts but if they win tomorrow I like our chances.

One batter in and Chip already made a fool of himself.

"Hit well but playable for Matthews"- as Matthews turns around and gets ready to play it off the wall.

Nice announcing chip.

Who is calling the Rays/White Sox? I want to know because it's like they picked the worst 3 announcers possibe for the other series. Chip Caray, Dick Stockton, and (no offense) Brian Anderson? Give me a break TBS. 75% of the people on this board could do a better job than these morons.

I'm watching this game and the Cubs' postgame on Comcast Sportsnet. I just saw Demp talking about being upset with himself... Call me crazy, but I'm strangely confident about tomorrow (I expected to feel really badly, going in, if they lost but I'm cool).

Obviously, tomorrow is huge.

In other news, the media ask some really unnecessary questions.

Don Orsillo, who is a pretty solid announcer. Len is better than any one of these guys by far though.

No, home plate umpire, you do not call that a strike. You ask the first base umpire. Maybe he screws up like you did, but at least you could have tried.

and on the replay, he was nowhere near swinging. What a ridiculous call

How do we know? There's no flipping rule-book definition of a swing.

(Not dogging you, just reminded of much I hate that fact.)

Every announcer who opined that Jason Bay wouldn't hit in the playoffs needs to own up now.

I don't care how the Red Sox as a team do, but I'm hoping Jason Bay has a monster playoffs for this reason alone.
