There haven't been nearly enough jokes about a Giants September callup being 36 years old.(Yeah, I understand, rewarding a minor league, vet, you're out of it, and have no prospects who cares, but come on it's the Giants, how awesome is that??)

this is one of those nice feelgood stories in pro baseball, kinda like the ryan o'malley story. he stuck with it even though he was long past the time when one would expect to get a september cup of coffee, and after almost 20 years as a pro baseball player, hits a home run in the big leagues.

congrats to scott, i am sure he will remember that one forever.

He was with us at spring training a few years ago, correct?

he started some games at 3rd for us a couple of years ago during one of Aramis' leg injuries. (I think)

He was a September addition in 2005, wearing jersey no. 9.
