Now, Cubs fans, I know we are stuck in a rut, and yet, we still have a very good chance of making the playoffs. Perhaps our streak can be attributed to facing bad pitching and the hot astros. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm looking forward to getting on the road. These bad games can't last forever, and a day off will be nice. I want to make the rest of the game threads for this year, including the postseason.

I want nothing but humor and positivity in this thread. I don't want us getting all bummed out. Make outrageous predictions. Joke around. Post some funny youtube videos. But no moping, no cries of the sky falling, or you will be promptly banned* In fact, I want full positivity in this thread.

A while back, there was this thing that the Cubs used to do when they'd score more runs than the other team. Now granted, this was a while ago, and I cant remember what it was called. There was even a little song that everyone used to sing after they did it. It made people very happy. Now I don't know if they plan on doing it again any time soon, but if they can manage to do it some more, it could very much help their case for the post season.

Just...whats that word...its on the tip of my tongue...ah forget it.

1st in Team AVG

1st in Team OBP

1st in Team SLG

1st in Team Runs Scored

2nd in Team ERA (by 0.02)

These stats are current. Even after this crappy losing streak. Time to start playing like it. No better team to do it against than one that really effed us in 2004. And a manager that did the same.

What's the pitching matchup in that one, LLF?

Do they at least face Peavy at some point?

Estes, Geer, Peavy, and Young.

Maybe Sean Testes can repeat that start against us.

My understanding of how it works is that the person who has the most wins in the game threads during the season starts game 1, then yields to the 2nd most wins, etc.

As it stands right now, I'm starting Game 1 of the NLDS.

Well, if I can go 22-0 over the rest of the season, I'd start game 1 :D

Here's some bold predictions...

Derrek Lee won't hit into a GIDP.

Bob Howry won't pitch in the game.

We'll use the whole "hitter's park" thing to our advantage.

THE STREAK WILL END!
