That's alright. I know it's still the afterglow of last night and the winning streak, but it's going to take more than a one-run deficit to get me concerned these days.

velocity down. Highest was 91.just hit 93

That's not really out of the norm. He'll hit upwards of 95-96 on occasion, but he's typically in the range you just listed.

It's (VERY SLIGHTLY) concerning to see a playoff caliber offense getting to our top pitchers. But its early and its a completely different situation than the playoffs.

Really, a HBP, walk, and grounder through the hole is "getting to" Harden? The standards are really high, then.

Well I'm not watching so I can't see his stuff. Didn't seem to be missing many bats though

Nice. No DP opportunity.

Man, Gameday Audio is really slow today. I'm gonna have to get out of the game thread.

Ugh.. Hughes gets me again... LINED TOWARD LEFT down the line fouuuul

Totally sounded like a hit

I love Hughes a lot, but he's gotta stop doing that. It's really annoying.

I was wondering why Blanton was working around Ramirez, but it makes sense. They both have reverse splits this season (Ramirez hits better vs. righties, and Blanton pitches better vs. lefties)

These same guys (Dempster and Harden) pitched well against the brewers and, right now, their offense is much more likely to end up in the playoffs over the Phillies. The issue for both was being wild, up and out of the strike zone, and falling behind. I do not think that has anything to do with the opposition's offense. Of course, one could argue that they took advantage of the mistakes but I still say the problem was more on the side of the pitcher
