If anyone's planning on making the trip to Cincinnati for next weekend's series...just a little heads up for everyone... I was able to take full advantage of DBR's horrific season to buy tix for the entire series for WAY less than face value....

Friday's game got 2 tix in the mezzanine level for 17.50/per ticket including shipping and all fees... face value is 27.00 before shipping and fees.

Saturday got 4 sun deck tix for 19.50/per ticket including shipping and all fees... face value is again 27.00 before shipping and fees.

Sunday got 4 terrace outfield lowers for 15.00/per ticket including shipping and all fees.... face value is 24.00 before shipping and fees.

Tickets can be had for as little as $3 to $5 per seat on StubHub for all three games...

I've been going to Cincy on a yearly basis to watch the Cubs, and it's always been Wrigley Field SE.... but I have a feeling this year might be the most dominant force of Cubs fans in the Queen City that we've ever seen! PM me if any of you are heading down there...and perhaps we can plan a pre or post game NSBB meetup.

thanks for the hot tip. i managed to snag some REAL good seats for way cheaper than i could believe. i got 2 mezzanine level seats for $18 each and a parking pass.

the best news is that i don't have to spend one dime of my money in cincinnati seeing how i am in easy driving distance.

I went to Cincinnati for last year's clinching game. It was a good time. Should be - of course - a lot of Cubs fans at Wrigley Slightly South.

Did you watch them clinch at a bar afterward or something?

I remember it being a good while after our game ended...

Well, I didn't see us clinch, no, I heard it go final on the drive back, but they were losing late when I left, so I had a good idea.

That's cool.

I drove to Cincy in 2003 totally randomly one time after finishing class for the Estes game.

My buddy and I just got in the car and went. Fun times.

Awesome. My trip was random too - I bought the ticket online that day, jetted off after class, came back that night. I went myself, but it was still one of the best top of my head decisions ever.

I did, and it felt like a Chicago bar.

I tried to convince Ms. Jay that we should make this trip, but made no progress.

Have fun, folks. Make it sound good on TV for us.

Speaking of Cincinnati, has anyone ever been to a place across the river called JB Fins? I'm headed to Cincinnati next weekend and thinking about checking out a band there after Friday's game, Doc Brown and the Jiggawatts... With a name like that, how could they not be awesome?

Haven't heard of it.... my usual postgame hangouts are either GameDay...right down the street from GABP or the Hofbrauhaus over at Newport on the Levee... Excellent German beer and an incredible atmosphere.
