the east is completely up in the air right now.

 

don't like my chances against raw given his pitchers face atl (x2), wash, sea, sd, and la. also raw is going to get a lot more ab's than me given that teixeira has as many days off (5 game week for the angels...wtf) as raw's entire offense. and his all-mets offense gets 7 games against pittsburgh and washington.

 

pulling pretty hard for tootielicious this week.

i guess it makes me feel better to know i was practically trying to give both danks and sanchez away and none of you knuckleheads were smart enough to take them from me.

I'm up by nearly 50 points with 5 pitching starts remaining apiece. My long losing streak may come to an end.

Okay, so I have 7 SP and I have 7 starts next week (assuming that Shields doesn't get bumped up a day with the day off). I set my line up to have all 7 starters in the starting line up so that I don't have to rotate them in and out for while I'm gone.

 

Is this okay and will it work?

Hot Damn! Garza with a 50 spot! I should be in decent shape, up 80-90 points with a 3 start disadvantage the rest of the way, and it's looking like I get Braun back tomorrow.

At least he should be a cheap keeper if I decide to take a chance on him rebounding next year.

Wow.. East has 2 guaranteed playoff spots after this week, with both me and Raw clinching spots. We play each other next week. Only way for Chuck to get in is to beat Adam next week and win the last week hoping that I beat Adam. Wow. The west on the other hand, what a cluster F after this week. 2 teams at 13-7, one team at 12-8 and then one team at 11-9. Eyes of Texas plays Alamo Stealth next week while the 2 top teams, NSBB and Fuzzy battle. The last week of the season it's the top 4 vs the bottom 4 in the West. This is fun!

 

This may be the most competitive season we've ever had in Roadkill.

the only way next week's game wasn't going to completely determine the third playoff spot was if i won this week and HBC lost...and that's what it looks like will happen.

 

i actually have good pitching matchups next week...two vs wash, and starts against oak, minn and sea. meanwhile lots of yankees and red sox matchups for HBC.

Our matchup this week went from determining a bye week in the East to not meaning as much. Winner still has a heads up for the division crown, and the loser will still be at worst 3rd. Adam can still win the division by winning out and having the winner of our game lose in the final week. Best chance for Adam is probably having Tootielicious beat Raw Dawgs and take care of business in the final week. Adam will have the points tiebreaker over me in that case and the head-to-head over Don. But Adam can still be left out of the playoff race with 2 losses thanks to 2 head-to-head losses to HBC.

Anyway.. In my matchup this week with Raw, I have to win to do anything. If I lose this week and win next week, while Raw wins this week and loses the last week, Raw gets me on H2H. If I win, it's for sure coming down to my matchup in the last week with Adam, who could then win the division if he goes 2-0. I'm really enjoying the closeness of this league to end the season. Makes it really fun to pay attention to every game.

good game, raw. told you it was a bad week to be facing you. but after my three big starts (and huge week from nathan), it turns out it was a worse week to be facing me.

 

i'll be pulling for you and all those damn mets these next two weeks.
