one thing about the hawks in watching them early this year, they tend to scramble around in their own end of the ice quite a bit. as much as the Campbell signing was a good one, he isn't going to help in that aspect. they really need guys like Seabrook and Keith to step up in the d-zone or they're going to "give away" goals, as Savard said.

Completely agree... kind of like Voros scoring on Huet yesterday... he shouldn't even be on the Rangers :( Oh well... as long as we have the lead I'm not gonna get too upset.

oh voros has an assist against the flyers tonight, blair betts (7 points last year) has a goal and assist, and colton orr (2 points last year) has an assist. it's bad enough that we're getting trashed by the rangers in the season opener, but we're also getting lit up by their scrubs.

Those are the PP stats from last year. It's about a 7-9% better chance to score on a PP than on full strength. The Hawks only had a 15% PP conversion % last year... which is NOT good. However, they are much much much better this year with their PP unit.

 

If you didn't find tonight's game particularly exciting, wait til the home opener on Monday, you'll be hooked.

 

Plus, in the 3rd period Burish is gonna put someone on the ground... he's pissed.
