Buy Extra Innings. It's an easy $200 to spend.

I wish I could, but I have a 2 year contract with DishNetwork that Id have to buy my way out of. Thank God for the games on WGN they are the only games I can watch, with the exception of games on ESPN or Fox. Hell I'd pay 400.00 if I could get all the games *sigh*. The bright side is that Dish has WGNHD so all the games that are on WGN are in HD. I wind up listening to alot of games on XM. It sucks that Dish decided to shaft all its baseball fans this way, but Im not buying out of my contract to sign another one with DirectTV which Id have to again buy myself out of when I finally find a new house (been looking for about a year). The wife hates satelite and I'd never be able to convince her to go with another satelite company when cable is an option. If I could get highspeed internet Id probably watch games on the internet. Living here in the boondocks really sucks

I love that the only difference the channel the Cubs are on that day makes to me is that I punch in a different number and get some different graphics/sounds.

Since I don't get WGNHD and I have the EI package, I'm selfishly *not* upset that fewer games are on WGN. Comcast HD works out much better for me.

What he said. Watching WGN SD games on my 72" HDTV is like watching through a dirty windshield.

The "music" on CSN is terrible, BTW.

Can't they come up with something better than that?

and on the other side, I wish WGN would do something about their hideous graphics

I don't mind them... but blue is my favorite color.

I don't get how a thread like this gets written today. I mean, this isn't a new phenomenon. Unless you've been overseas all decade, you already knew there were less game on WGN.

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't feel like being a jerk and pointing it out.

I decided to be a jerk and point out how it doesn't even matter to me anyway.

What got me to start this thread was noticing a whopping EIGHT games on WGN in September. I knew WGN had been carrying fewer games, but 8 out of 25 just seems asinine. Wouldn't you think they would want to carry as many games as possible in September?

Lots of night games scheduled in September and the new season for the WB Network (or CN or whatever it is now) begins.

Cubs baseball is better than most of the crap WGN runs anyway, but now I'm just ranting.

You should just refuse to pay the early termination fee. Dish basically breached your contract and forfeited their right to enforce it when they dropped Extra Innings (that is, assuming you were already under the contract at the time they dropped it).
