Kenney and others openly tout the Yankees, other anchors actually refer to themselves on the air as Red Sox fans, John Anderson acknowledges that he's a lifelong Packer fan, and Greenberg and Wilbon openly root for the Cubs.

 

i think it's different when you're on sportscenter and you're presenting highlights. greenberg and wilbon are on sports talk shows, based heavily on their personalities, and as sports fans they're going to talk about the teams that they root for. a sports talk guy who doesn't have favorite teams or doesn't reveal them is probably going to be pretty boring.

Not that I agree that Joba should be in the CYA talk this year, but I love that someone on ESPN actually made an argument based on numbers that somewhat matter and not crap like, "He wins ballgames."

Yeah Greeny is a Cub fan, he covered them for awhile as well.

 

One morning after the Brewers finished off sweeping the Cards he even said..
