Z: Dominant!

Fukudome: Swinging it well again.

A-Ram: Busting out

Oh, Brewers fans and WTMJ, stick to the day jobs as those two "guaranteed wins" are bye bye.

Cubs smelled blood in the water and attacked!

Great win!! When we play like this, no one can touch this team.

I definitely enjoyed seeing Fukudome and Soto come up with a couple hits each. They were huge contributors to the hot streak, and this offense feels unstoppable when those two are on.

Of course, Ramirez sending line drive doubles off the wall all night doesn't hurt either.

just saying it really does not matter....why people continue to question Lou is beyond me.

His moves will not work out everytime but in his first 2 years here they have worked out a lot more times than not

Lets celebrate the victory not dwell on petty intricacies

because the manager of the year and of the best team in the N.L. thought it was a good idea

why question?

This is such a dumb post. If you haven't questioned Lou's management of the bullpen this year, you are quite probably [expletive].

EDIT: Meaning "you" in a general sense, not the poster specifically

Yeah, it's kind of like those people who questioned Lou's overuse of Marmol in the first half. Clearly there was no reason to be concerned and we were stupid to question him. Marmol hasn't hit any bumps in the road since then at all.

It's pretty simple: in an absolute sense, he's not that good. In a relative sense, he's decent. Baseball managers tend to be much worse at their jobs than the average person is at his or her profession at 40-70 years of age

Well, worse than people in mid/high-paying professions, anyway.

the primary qualification for managing a MLB team is having played in the majors.

i love this. this takes the pressure off the rest of the series, as the best the brewers can do is go back to where they were at the end of the series. plus we smoked their 1-2, which has to demoralize them. not only do i want a sweep, i want 2 more beatdowns like the one tonight.

go cubs!

It is possible to think he's a good manager overall and still question specific aspects. His bullpen management is horrible (for example, using Samardz in a blowout and perhaps making him unavailable tomorrow when, meanwhile, there's this pitcher named Scott Eyre who still hasn't thrown a pitch since being activated from the DL and would have been perfect to finish off a blowout).

i understand what your saying and you could twist things any way you want

for instance...shark has pitched fairly well but has not really looked comfortable out there so he wants to use him as much as possible so that he gets more comfortable rather than putting in eyre who lou wouldnt trust with a 10 run lead and is just taking up a roster spot

i understand second guessing a manager is part of what the fans and that east coast television station do, but something so petty that had no real significance on the outcome of the game is silly....what if he brought eyre in and he had to end up using marmol to close it?

i am not trying to bash you guys, just saying the move was not worthy of having an immediate post after a great win questioning the manager....if he wouldve brought eyre in and we wouldve lost, then it wouldve been worthy

I don't understand why Eyre couldn't have pitched. He is certainly good enough to get three outs without allowing 7 runs to score. It's not like Eyre has been awful this year, not like the first half of last year where he was terrible. It's almost like Lou thinks its last year when Howry was good and Eyre was horrendous. I don't want him pitching with the game on the line but he should have closed out this game.
