East Division Breakdown

Heading into the end of the season, looks like Raw and Tootielicious will be tied and up 2 games on the rest of the division. HBC and GHS will be tied and fighting for the 3rd playoff spot.

 

All 4 teams have made big moves within the last week. The division has added Cain, Kazmir, Peavy, Cabrera, Vlad, and K-Rod.

 

Here's a breakdown of rosters going into the last week before the deadline:

Some pretty good teams out there, and think my OF is probably the weakest, although it's still pretty strong overall. Starting pitcher wise, HBC is in deep doo doo. The rest of the 3 have outstanding SP. Relief pitching, I think I have by far the best group, although HBC has a pretty good group.

 

This should be one hell of a finish. I predict HBC will be the odd man out, unless he can by chance add a pitcher or two this week sometime. The schedule ends perfectly, with the 4 of us going heads up the last three weeks of the year. Good luck to all!

really pisses me off to lose by less than 10 this week. i'd have gone a long way to wrapping up a playoff spot with a win. two negative starts from sanchez and the duke did me in. before his start this week, the duke had given up more than 2 earned runs ONLY ONCE all year (and that was an outing in which he gave up just three, which is pretty impressive).

 

if i end up tied with HBC for the last spot and i miss out on the playoffs due to H2H matchups it will be because nathan gave up two earned runs in week 6 during the sunday night game causing me to lose to HBC by less than two. that will make me angry.

 

i still think i'll get in though. peavy was a big pick up for me.

My pitching isn't THAT bad! I have 4 pitchers in the top 30. 3 in the top 25. It will come down to match-ups on the pitching staffs.

 

 

I'm still in the market for a pitcher, though! I'd like to upgrade at least one!

Don't forget Draconian Empire, who has won 6 of 7, with his only loss coming to me in the AS break week. He's 1 game out of the playoff race and is the hottest team in the division right now.

he's likely going to have to finish a game ahead of me though. he's 600 points or so back of me and we split head to head.
