So let's look at whats going on in Chicago sports

-The Cubs are in the middle of a complete collapse in late July

-John Paxson cannot do a contract negotiation to save his life and Luol Deng, who genuinely likes the Bulls, is threatening to book it after this year

-The Bears offense consists of Brandon Lloyd and John St. Clair as likely starters.

I've got a suggestion for all of us...let's change the mojo a little bit. Background, sig pics...anyone with me?

How about we post every post as a question until the Cubs win?

Grossman or Orton? :-"

As if football season won't be a complete abortion this year.

Yeap.

Bulls in rebuilding mode. If the Cubs don't come through we're down to praying for the Blackhawks to come through.

nice catch by rammy.

How many times do you see a player make a great defensive play to end an inning and lean lead off an inning by flying out and making his streak 0-20?

It really is funny how the roles have been switched this year. The Brewers played great in the first half but could not win on the road and the Cubs just steamrolled em.

Another loud out for ARAM.

Please no....the Brewers fans did this exact same thing in a game thread last year. How annoying.

Did what? Post "we suck" images or post everything as a question?

Nice Ward. All the times you've come up this year in big situations and didn't come through. Your 2 HRs this year have come when were are up like 9-0, and when we're down 5-1 and have no offensive ability to come back.

With the game no longer in doubt, the AC units were turned off, and bingo a homer.

See? It all makes sense. :-k

Does anyone realize that at the end of this series, we finish a 44 game stretch where we

-played 29 road games and only 15 home games

-missed our All Star LF almost the entire time

-missed our ace for 2 starts

-missed our closer for 10 games

-played 6 series (5 on the road) against teams that currently occupy playoff sports

Our record in that span? 22-19 (with 3 to go).

After this, we play 26 of our next 39 at home, and only 2 series (both at home) against teams that currently occupy playoff spots. Oh and we'll have our All Star LF, closer and ace back for most if not all of that time.

Remembering, or trying to atleast.

It was a good post a few games ago, but this team could not be any worse right now.

:( I remember when I said that. Such cheerful times of hopeful optimism

I have never seen so many fly balls directly to OFs in my life. It seems like every other hitter.

What I wouldn't do for a Juan Pierre to hit a grounder to second.

It's a ray of light that shed just enough light to keep me from grabbing a noose.

I think we're going to see the Ward-Fukudome-Hoffpauir outfield this inning by the way Ward acted right before the break. So hopefully we bring in a ground ball pitcher.

Ward looked confused when they told him he was staying in. Probably didn't want to take his fat butt off the bench.
