Don't worry. You're actually one of the decent ones.

That game could have been a real heartbreaker for the Brewers. To get clean innings from McClung from the 2-5th, Mota, Gagne, and Riske only to blow it in the 9th could have been one of those moments that many of us Brewer fans know all to well as the harbinger of death in a series.

It's extremely difficult listening to Steve Phillips.

A little part of me died inside when he started talking about "talent players" v. "effort players"

I was a little disappointed when i saw the ESPN had blacked out the game in my area. Then i saw who was announcing. Talk about luck.

Kendall had a nice throw, but McClung completely ignored the runner.

Where did Kendall's arm strength come from?

Not sure about the arm strength, but supposedly Yost was the one who caught the problem with Kendall. I don't know if this was known or not, but I just heard it today.

They found whatever was wrong with him during spring training IIRC. I read about it back then.

Phillips is talking about the Cardinals starting pitcher win % as a reason why they might not need another pitcher in the rotation come the trading deadline. Pretty obvious why this guy isn't a GM anymore. :banghead:

In the bottom of the 9th I was having horrible flashbacks to the series in St. Louis last year that more or less ended the Brewers' season in late July. They won the first game of that series 12-2, but then saw the Cards score 2 runs with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to win it against Cordero in Game 2, drop a close game 5-2, and then Derrick Turnbow gave up 5 runs in the 8th inning of the series finale to turn a 5-4 lead into a 9-5 loss. The Cubs finally caught the Brewers a couple days later, and the rest is history.

It felt good to out-Cardinal the Cardinals tonight, though. I can't say I'm excited about the Suppan vs. Cy Lohse match-up tomorrow night, though, and I'm still having a bad feeling that Sabathia is due for a horrible start this series.
