My team is a wreck all of a sudden. Both RP are broke, SP Saunders may be hurt, and Renteria will probably play this week, but is hurt as well.

 

Let's just hope my SP is strong and Jenks comes back quickly this week.

My starting pitching staff as it stood at the start of the week only had 2 scheduled starts (just about all of my starters were scheduled to pitch Monday or Tuesday of next week). Fortunately I was able to replace a couple of my lower-end pitchers with free agents to get 4 for this week. Marshall has little value now that he's in the bullpen, and Gallagher, although I think he'll be a good starter, really seems interchangeable with a lot of other available starters now, so I deemed them expendable.

I think you did a fine job setting your line up. I probably would have gone with Maholm at Coors. I think it's cool we have pitchers facing each other. Either one of them is just as capable of throwing a gem or gasoline onto a fire.

Raisin's boys came to play. Barring a perfect game by Brandon Webb today, it looks like I'm taking a loss this week.

 

Between Melvin Mora, Luke Scott and Ramon Hernandez (all Orioles), they have 16 hits, 4 walks, 11 runs, 7 HR's and 16 RBI for 70 points. Insanity.

I'm down by 21 but with a 1-0 pitching start advantage remaining. It could go right down to the wire. I had to choose between Garland, who's a question mark because of a stiff neck (his start was already pushed back a day) or Perez, who I picked up just to make ends meet this week (before it was determined that Garland would even pitch at all this week). Watch Perez suck and Garland pitch a gem.

I unexpectedly have an excess start because Jackson (originally scheduled to pitch tomorrow) is pitching today. I sent Juan a PM asking Jackson to count and Perez to be deducted. At the time I'm writing this they're within 1/2 point of each other.

Getting close to a fire sale myself. Dunn, Beltran, and or Beckett interest anyone. I probably won't trade until next weekend since I am only one game out of second place, but I am willing to start talking.

 

Obviously I am interested in draft picks and quality prospects. Players that I would have to drop at the end of the year anyways do not interest me.
