Obviously the Cubs have a long way to go to get to the WS, but if they get there and play a team that's 10 games worse, they don't get Home Field Advantage now. :banghead:

Are you worried?

Hopefully it's not the Rays.

Michael Young and Corey Hart could have determined the Cubs fate. *shakes head*

I don't like the choices, so I didn't vote. But I think it's BS that HFA is determined by the ASG. I think if the teams are closely matched, it can make a big difference.

Its the old baseball glib saying that is 100% truth. "You just have to play them one at a time."

Its all a moot point till if/when the Cubs get that far. Dont worry about it now, ulcers arent any fun.

Edited to add. Ask me again if this question becomes relevant to the Cubs.

I think if Harden stays healthy we will prove to be good on the road and it will be a moot point. Especially because I think Hendry will make a trade that will improve this team at the deadline.

My response, had that been an option, would be that home field advantage CAN make a difference but won't matter that much to the Cubs. The Cubs are so unbeatable at home this year that it isn't a stretch to imagine them sweeping three World Series games at home. If they can do that, they'd only have to go 1-3 on the road to win the Series, and I think they can do that without much trouble.

To be honest, by the time the playoffs start, I believe the Cubs will be playing better on the road. I think this will be a non-issue.

And even if they're not playing better on the road, they're playing good enough to win 1 of 4 on the road if they can sweep at home (which isn't a stretch at all).
