My first complaint about the network: The Carribean Series pushing back or canceling programming. I wanted to see the World Series Highlights of 1990 the other night, and it never aired, due to the power outage at the stadium where the CS was being played.

I know, I had the same thing last night, wanting to watch the 2001 WS Highlights.

I thought the Carribean Series game was fun to watch though.

Hot Stove is one hell of an outstanding show.

My only gripe about Hot Stove is that it's replayed over and over and over and over in the mornings.

I wish they'd commit a little more to replaying some of the classic games or series. However, I can't say I wasn't wildly impressed with the Reds/A's WS from '90 although that may be more due to the crowd shots/interviews with some fiercely coiffed and moustachioed A's fans.

I'm sure it's been written here already, but they're showing Wood's 20 K game tomorrow evening, as well as Big Unit's and everyone's favorite cagey part-time steriod abuser and full-time Mercker-hole Roger Clemens' historic performances during this weekend. Queue DVR ... and go.

Really annoying to be looking forward to watching a bunch of old games today and having full day coverage of ARod/Steroids. I get it he did steroids. It almost seems like MLB Network is overcovering it to prove that they will provide coverage of negative events and not just ones that make the MLB look better.

He lied to Katie Couric !

Agreed. At least it seems like they are showing the Sunday games.

Kinda like SportsCenter. Yeah, it's live, but they cover all the same stuff anyways.

I'm embarrassed to say this, but I have yet to check out the MLB Network.

Dude...seriously. Some of their documentaries are absolutely terrific. The "Baseball Seasons" ones are especially awesome.

I will definitely watch MLB Network once the season starts. I'll actually watch pretty soon since spring training has started. I guess I'm just not ready for baseball yet, even though I spend every day at NSBB. :)

The Cubs are scheduled to be featured on "30 Clubs in 30 Days" on Tuesday March 10 at 5:30 P.M. Eastern time (repeated 1:30 A.M. Eastern time). The starting times probably need to be considered tentative because that's during the WBC and start times could be delayed if the games run over. Also, Ken Burns' Baseball seems to be finishing on an accelerated schedule (unfortunately I didn't realize it at first and as a result missed the 6th inning). It started once a week (Tuesday) but is finishing twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday). The 7th inning is tomorrow, the 8th inning this Thursday, and the 9th inning a week from tomorrow.

The Prime 9 episode that is playing right now is "Top 9 What Could Have Beens". During the intro they showed Prior, but I'm at number 6 right now and they haven't gotten to him yet. I'm sure I'm going to wish I didn't watch it afterwards.

He wasn't in the top 9. Neither were Mark Fidrych, Kirby Puckett, or Gene Stratton among those shown in the introduction. Frequently people shown in the introduction are ones who didn't actually make the top 9.

Yeah, I'm the same way. Though I did watch some of Woody's 20K game a few weeks ago.

I think it's because I'm so wrapped up in hockey season, coupled with the playoff debacle, but I'm still not ready to deal with the Cubs again.

MLB should be allowing people who have MLB.TV to watch this online. I know that they have contracts with the cable providers, but since it is their product, you would think that it'd make sense. Especially for Canadians like me who live in condo complexes where I can't put up a DirecTV dish.

Thanks NC, we can always count on you to update us. I was wanting to know when the Cubs would be featured on "30 Clubs in 30 Days," that's great I'll be sure to watch.

The Cubs were included (in a bad way) in the Prime Nine I saw yesterday. It was the nine greatest comebacks, and number 9 was the 1929 World Series game where the Athletics scored 10 runs in a single inning against the Cubs to erase an 8-0 Cubs lead.

The top 4 all included the Red Sox (they were on the good end of two and the bad end of two). #4 and #3 both included the 1986 Red Sox; #4 was their comeback win over the Angels in the ALCS (when they hit a tater off of former Cub Donnie Moore), and #3 was the Mets' comeback win in that years' World Series (when a ball went through former Cub Bill Buckner's legs). #2 and #1 were both Red Sox vs. Yankees moments. #2 was the Yankees' rally in the 1978 season when they forced a tie with the Red Sox, then won a one-game playoff on Bucky Dent's home run; #1 was the 2004 ALCS when the Red Sox won the series after being down 3 games to 0.
