Who would be the toughest out in the playoffs (if we win the division)? I think we all agree the brewers are better on paper, especially with a 1-2 punch of sabathia and sheets, but the cardinals have the better record right now and keep winning despite everyone expecting them to fall off. Would the brewers bullpen make them an easier matchup? Discuss.

I think the Cubs are pretty far superior to both teams. Despite my fear of Cardinal magic, our 2-4 record against Milwaukee this year worries me a bit.

That's before the Cubs hit their stride. Play those two series NOW, and I promise you, the Cubs would be the minimum of 5-1 against the Brew crew.

Don't you just love these descriptive posts that disagree with a point made in order to start a discussion?

I'd say 5-1 is a little high, because most of the games are in Brew town, but RedFlash is right, the Cubs are a better team than the 2 previous series'.

agreed

5-1 at a minimum is way too extreme.

Brewers assuming Sheets stays healthy. Cardinals if he has a lengthy injury.

I'd still say the Brewers even if Sheets got hurt. It would take Sabathia getting hurt as well before I would say the Cardinals.
