It seems like he's been playing mostly 2nd base. Last time I checked he was hitting .295 but I'm not sure about the important stats.

updated line .314/ .354/ .477 .831

2 Hrs

9 BBs

38 K

Those numbers aren't bad but is the PCL a huge hitters league again this year? The walk/ K ratio needs to get better.

The similarities between Eric Patterson and Delwyn Young for the Dodgers are striking. Both top 2B prospects, with doubts that they could handle 2B defensively (admittedly, EP was never as bad as Young was early in his career). Both got time in the OF. The advantage Young has in power is negated by the speed of Patterson. Both probably strike out a little too much. Patterson Ks too much for a guy lacking power. Young Ks too much for a non-stud power hitter. Career lines in the minors. Young- .303/.362/.512. Patterson- .299/.364/.464. Bottom line is, Eric probably projects to a utility player like Delwyn.

Would he be able to handle righties better than Fontenot?

Given that his BABIP against RHPs is rather extreme at the moment, I figure his numbers would drop off a tad against righties in a neutral setting.
