Not this year, but in the long run I fear the Reds more than any other team in this division. The Brewers have some young talent, but are poorly built and will always have pitching and defense problems. The Reds are building a formidable team.

That's especially idiotic. After tonight, the Cardinals will have played one fewer home game than the Cubs.

God the Astros' baserunning is brutal. I noticed it during the Cubs series and since then they just keep running into outs.

 

If you get thrown out by Jason Kendall trying to steal 3rd base with Lance Berkman at the plate, it's time to go ahead and pack it in.

The Central is going to end the day 25 games over .500. That's quite a bit for a division that many thought would be among the worst in the majors.

 

To compare among the other NL divisions, right now the East is 9 games over .500 and the West is an absurd 33 games under .500.
