He seriously tried to say that the D-Backs are a bad team and that the Angels are the best team either team faced during the last week....wow.

So according to him beating the D-Backs only proves we can beat bad teams, but if we can beat a real team like the Houston Astros, then that will prove something.

And this crap that the Giants and Pirates are about equal opponents? Wow. The Giants are probably the worst team in baseball, the Pirates are actually quite good when they aren't playing the Cubs.

How does a guy like this get a freakin job as a sports writer? That's awful.

That's hilarious. Never heard anyone make a play off the Angels' name before.

Gotta agree with Mark R.'s comments:

I get that you think it's a neat strategy to just write moderately inflammatory things because it will incite people and prove that you're relevant since everyone is so worked up over your 'analysis.' But honestly, only 2 teams in baseball have winning percentages over .600, Arizona and the Cubs. The Cubs lead the NL in OBP and AVG and are 2nd in SLG. They're 3rd in ERA and are arguably the best team in the National League.

How about we just all enjoy the ride and agree you're probably the worst sportswriter the Trib has to offer? It's not like you've cooked up a +/- theory yet, but you're getting there.

Yeah, the whole "lets add forty-thousand different locations near LA onto the name because it's funny" thing needs to stop.

It's more like Carlos Quentin's month of April, meet Alfonso Soriano's last week.

His last 7 days (so this doesn't even include his 8th game ago in which he went 4 for 5):

Sacrifice flies count as part of OBP, but they don't count in a player's BA.
