He was barely out. Paulino stepped on his non-sliding leg and veered Soto off-course on the slide, causing Soto's foot to miss the plate by a few inches.

Marmol's an experienced closer, he already had one career save before this season started.

Every time they talk about Marmol as a closer, I think about how lights out Latroy was as a set up man, and how he fell apart once becoming closer, and hes never been the same since.

Ludwick must have joined Skip Schumaker on those offseason workouts with Mark McGwire. I can't believe more isn't being made of that, especially in light of those two both going insane.
