Orioles purchased the contract of infielder Alex Cintron from Triple-A Norfolk,

An interesting move in that comes just two days after the Orioles made Freddie Bynum their starting shortstop. Cintron offers a little more defense than Bynum and a little more offense than Luis Hernandez, so it'd be no surprise to see him take over as the starter at some point. However, he shouldn't have any short-term value unless Brian Roberts' foot injury turns out to be more serious than expected.

As long as they're taking the older, lousy former Cubs and not the likes of Cedeno, Gallagher, etc.

Just imagine if the O's were dumb enough to sign a 38 year old has been CF?

Please Lord, let just one Red go on the DL so Dusty can give me a call...
