If it makes you feel better, I believe Shawn Estes will be starting against us this week.

That actually makes me feel excellent.

I don't know how I feel about that. It's like a teaser. We pound him in the first, he gets the quick hook, then we're all left sitting there like "dang, I was really enjoying watching that."

True, we do have a tendancy of getting pwned by crappy ex-cubs. See most recently: Augie Ojeda.

Glendon Rusch-R-Padres May. 15 - 9:14 am et

LHP Glendon Rusch declined his assignment to Tripe-A Portland and became a free agent.

Rusch was designated for assignment by the Padres last week after posting a 6.41 ERA in 19 2/3 innings out of the bullpen.

Dusty Baker just did a happy dance.

Jinx. I can't believe we got beat by Shawn freaking Estes on Tuesday, then beat Jake Peavy the next day. We should be looking at back-to-back sweeps here.

Glendon has signed a minor league deal with the Rockies. Glendon+Coors Field=bad news

Good for Glendon. It was unfortunate that he had to end his Cubs career in the manner that he did. I hope he does well (except against us).
