What the heck is wrong with Billy Petrick? He looked pretty good in his time with the Cubs last season and now is in Daytona getting shelled? I know he was working through some issues in ST but is he hurt again?

Samardzija's first really bad start this year. I'm still hopeful.

 

No it's not. Two starts ago he had a 5 inning, 6 hit, 6 walk outing. The start before that he walked 6 and only lasted 3 innings. He has 2 quality starts in 8 outings, and one of those was 3 ERs in 6 innings. Though admittedly, he missed another by 1 out in his last start.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was. That's been the story of his whole career in the Cubs organization.
