Have they said how long Soriano is likely to be out? If they expect him back in 15 days then it makes a little more sense to promote someone they don't mind never playing. Why bring up Murton only to send him down again in 2 weeks.

 

If they aren't going to play Patterson at all, I would have preferred they call up Fox. At least he could be an emergency catcher and has some pop. Right now Cedeno is the #1 PH option from the right side. Yikes.
