I was up 63 going into today and Sabathia's -28 has helped me into a deficit.

Great managing strategy by Fuzzy and better team spirit by super slugger Carlos Pena. Carlos gets his 18th point on a bases loaded walk. Trying to keep a save op in place for Percival, Pena later gets thrown out by a mile at third base.

Looking at some of the pitching results tonight are pretty scary between CC, Oswalt, and Wang. Any player having the ability to go -28 is just wrong, and on the other end a pitcher being able to put up 40 points is just scary. On the bright side pitchers are going to be very expensive to keep this season. Thus putting either more players into the draft or better players.

This will likely be Johan's first time in the draft during my stay in the league.

I'm very happy tonight that DiceK, Kuroda, Price, and Owings are all going to be exempt for a couple of years.

Yep - Verlander, Hughes, Chamberlain, Gallardo, Parra makes me pretty happy, too.

ok, i think i have everyone's keepers for the next four seasons memorized by now. just to be sure though, let's everyone list them in next week's thread again.

also, thanks to the cubs for putting hill in the bullpen. good thing wang's been amazing so far.

You're just upset because other teams have pitchers in, you know, the rotation and everything.

Which makes me glad I have starters with exemptions (Bannister, Jackson, McGowan).

The Twins have placed Slowey on the DL, so the Quakers have matched that move.

Blackburn's start has been pushed off to Monday. So I picked up Lehan.

Today is the day. If I can't get back into it today....

And yes I am having similar thoughts. Buchholz, Blackburn, Jurrjens, Slowey,... Once they reach 10 starts I will have some decisions to make. Do I go with youth and the exemptions, or do I stick with Zito and Arroyo.

The reduction of the keeper point total has really upped the value of exempt players and draft picks.

Please list the 60 percent of them who will get hurt.

I'm pretty sure I'd dump Zito at this point.

Excellent match up between Fuzzy and Dishman's this week. Dishman's pitching has been outstanding and still two starts remaining with Carmona and Haren. Fuzzy has gotten some good offense to make up for an average pitching week, with Matt Cain and Johnny Cueto still to pitch this weekend. I'm counting on these two guys to get my team WHIP back down below 1.00 for the season.

Wish I could be around this weekend to watch it all unfold. But, things to do.

You've already had six of your starts this week. Comparing pitching points in this league any day but Sunday is pretty meaningless.

Also, if you're counting on Dempster to be a #2 or #3 pitcher...you're in trouble.

Aw, crap.

Still with the most points in the league in pitching despite getting little/nothing from my RP. My offense sits at 9th best overall and I could very well be 0-2 after tomorrow.

what is it with managers leaving guys in too long? in my other league, blanton, verlander and villanueva have all been hurt by being asked to go one inning more than they should have.

In this league, leaving Verlander & Santana in too long has hurt me.
