Just curious, I love to read the comments here.

If this team had to make a trade but lose a veteran,

who could you stand to lose, regardless of the value returned or contract?

Me personally, I am not a Soriano fan. I think he does not belong in the lead-off spot ( not his fault ) but I find him lazy and not a team player....

I would actually prefer Murton in left..Of course not as much power.

So just curious!

just curious how soriano is lazy and not a team player

skin color.

i hate eyre the most, so i pick him, even though it would be smarter to be rid of marquis or soriano for financial reasons.

Of course I have no knowledge of my opinion...

it just seems he does not play hard, he cannot take a walk to save his life and the amount of money he makes I would like to see a lot more plate discipline and hustle....

He's already saved his life once this year, but you're right about the hustle part, he scored a dreadful 1.8 out of 10 on the hustle scale.

Don't dare point out obvious observations on this board, or people will accuse you of being silly due to the fact that things like this can't be proved. I agree with what you said.

Soriano. The back half of that contract is going to be ugly ugly ugly. If we wait til he starts declining he won't be movable, so he has to go now.

Tell me, why do you think Soriano doesn't play hard?

i would get rid of all veterans and anyone under the age of 25, so basically anyone not named Fukudome...we will be lucky to win 60 games with this bunch of slackers and losers.....4 games is plenty to tell what we've got and it time to write off the season

I think he does to a certain extent, but then there are times where he gets way too careless. The non-error on the ball hit by Tejada is the type of stuff I'm talking about. He was way too casual when he went to play that ball. He kind of just jogged over figuring it was a routine double and then "oops". I understand that errors happen, but he seems to be too nonchalant sometimes. I also remember at least 2 or 3 times last season when he gave up on fly balls because he was scared of the wall when in reality he was nowhere near the wall.

This question is a no brainerSoriano.Easily. I wonder if this team would be better with Murton playing everyday than Soriano. Lineup:

Fukudome

Derosa (hopefully hitting 2ns would cut down on his DP's)

Lee

Aram

Soto

Murton

Theriot

Pie

Wonder if the Angels would trade Vlad for Soriano

How would Murton be better than Soriano? And that trade would make no sense.

this team would not be better with murton in the lineup instead of soriano, please don't be insane.

That is not an insane proposition. And it's practically a lock when you then take the Soriano money and apply it to another position.

It wouldn't make sense for the Angels to take on an albatross of a contract. Vlad would be a nightmare in LF Defensivel but atleast the Cubs wouldn't have such a terrible contract of a painfully average player hanging over them for the next 6 years.

I'm tired of Soriano already. He's painful to watch at the plate and doesn't hustle on Defense and has already admitted that he's afraid of the wall and it effects him defensively.

Murton would be better for this club because he's cost 16 million dollars less this season and the Cubs could be really aggressive at the trade deadline or the off season and go after a stud pitcher.
