The throw didn't look wide to me. It just looked like Weeks hit Soto before the ball got to him.

FWIW, the throw was nearly spot on, but Weeks got there before the ball did and Soto got pummeled.

i think it's hilarious that dempster didn't even have to compete for his rotation spot. he was guaranteed it.
