i'm not sure there is a word in the English language for what Cedeno did to that ball.

Oh, there is. They're just all banned from this site.

this must be great for cedeno, he can beat up on minor league pitching and do it in a chicago cubs uniform

I'm sure he'll remember it while watching Theriot suck against major league pitching on the bench this year.

I wonder if that Miller guy is slated for AAA, I'm pretty sure he isn't going to be wanting to face Hoffpauir ever again.

I didn't see the home run Cedeno hit. Did it really hit the top of the scoreboard? If so that might be a 600 foot homer...

Its 340 out to left, 390 to left center. It's probably like 360 to the part of the park he hit it. Then you gotta figure theres about 75-100 feet to the base of the scoreboard. The scoreboard is what....40 feet high? That's gotta be about 600 feet of distance.

i doubt the scoreboard is that far back or that high in this park.

Yes, it hit within inches of the top of the scoreboard, it was an absolute freakin bomb.

Also - Pie REALLY needed to swing at that strike 3...

That's where I was getting my estimations from. Then again, I'm a horrible estimator.

Theres another angle. I think I'm pretty accurate.

Again, I didn't see the home run. Did it hit the scoreboard on a line? If it cleared the scoreboard, I would assume it would land in the parking lot

Well, the cameraman sucked and he didn't follow the ball well. The replay we did see showing it actually hitting the scoreboard in was not a very good one for telling its trajectery. It just showed it hitting the scoreboard about 5 inches below the top.
