I'm curious about the "fair" option. It appears as the option above Poor and below average. I would think something closer to "below average" would be there.

I had Ramirez and Lee at the top, Fukudome, Soriano and Murton as good. A handful of others at the average point, Fuld, Blanco, Theriot, Fontenot and Pie all at poor.

This is my standard set of words. I think it's apparent by the ordering that "fair" is between "average" and "poor".

Furthermore, I have GREAT and POOR as uppercase, so it again is apparent that those two are the boundaries.

No one will mistake "fair" as somehow being between Average and Good, or being below Poor, especially the way I have it laid out.

Yeah, it's clear what the word is meant to represent, in context, it just seems out of place to me. If somebody were to describe a player's performance as fair, I'd think of him as something akin to above average.

As long as you read things in context, there's no issue.

I really can't help it if some people try to read things intentionally out of context!

The clutch in my car just started slipping and I thought this thread was going to present a way I could save some of the $1300 or so it would cost to replace it.
