Dae-Eun Rhee will pitch in Peoria to start the year.

"Our scouts are making our coaches look really good," Fleita said. "At the beginning of the spring, I would've guessed he would have stayed here in extended and then gone to Boise. But he's making the Peoria club and it's not even close."

I can't read it and don't subscribe, but the title and the opening paragraph tell the basics: Pawelek got cut again, and can go back to Mesa again.

So Ashwood, Hernandez, Huseby, and Rhee would seem to be locked. Pawelek, Acosta, Hatley, and Redmond are out.

Cabrera, Sasser, Albuquerque, and possibly outside shot for Siegfried are in the mix.

Probably Siegfried-for-rotation was one of those winter discussions, but as usual when it came down to cases, that may not have stayed serious for long.

Of those three/four, I'd guess Sasser is the one boring one. I certainly hope that one of the promising talented guys shows enough control to get that spot, rather than going with the veteran roster-filler Sasser.

It sounded like AZ Phil hinted that Pawelek was probably back at extended...again. Sigh.

We should hear some of the rosters later today.

I think we'll see Marshall, Gallagher, Mathes, Holliman and Mateo for the Iowa rotation. Maybe Bailey while Marshall gets his arm extended. For Tennessee, I'd guess Samardzija, Veal, Atkins, Watson and Reinhard.
