Koyie Hill was with the Cubs over Fox why?

 

Because the Cubs feel Hill is a catcher and Fox isn't.

 

That's right, you explained that to me last season. ;)

 

But Fox can flat-out rake. If he keeps this up, he'll play in the big leagues, either with the Cubs or maybe with an AL team.

But can he handle the offspeed stuff (that's been his big weakness)?

Bruce what did you think of Samardzija today?

 

He looked good and sharp on the mound today. A lot of it is a matter of refinement with him.

 

Did he throw many secondary pitches? How did they look?

 

More groundouts than flyouts are always good for Samardzija. :)
