Let's see.

HOF Greats with elite arms: Roberto Clemente, obviously. CFers in the early years played so shallow with the lack of Ks they probably got some. Tris Speaker or Ty Cobb?

It's one of those three.

Given that you didn't say it was the guy mentioned above, its gotta be a CF and Ty Cobb.

Nope. I missed the above post.

He was correct, it's Speaker. He had 139 double plays. He's also the all time leader in OF assists with 448.

What two players, who have a combined 6188 hits and 3652 rbi, are from the same hometown?

Ty Cobb and somebody else.

Cobb is from the absolute backwaters of Georgia. I seriously doubt anyone else from his hometown even sniffed the majors.

Hank Aaron and someone with roughly 2600 hits and 1300 RBI's

I've heard this somewhere (who the hell knows where), but Ken Griffey Jr. and Stan Musial share the same hometown and birthday...so I'll guess them.

NOTE: This fact may have changed by now, but I remember reading this on a baseball card.

Who is the only person to hit a home run in their first major league at bat AND their first minor league at bat?

Posted

Cubs trivia. Paul Gillespie did it.

Oops, misread the question. Gillespie homered in his first and last major league at bats.
