I remember him because I used to confuse him with Carlos Zambrano. They looked alike and they both had out of control fast balls.

 

I think we move him in the Nomar deal.

Yep, we traded him to Montreal in the Nomar deal. He had Achilles tendons problems followed by elbow reconstruction surgery if I remember correcty.

 

....although the achilles issue might be made up in my head.

He did though. Injuries derailed him, but he had a great fastball and one of the most unhittable splitters in the league. Had he stayed healthy and improved his control a bit, he probably would have been a dominant RP.

I remember him having good stuff, but unfortunately for Beltran the thing I remember most about him was Sexon hitting that monster homerun off of him that broke part of the scoreboard.

He used to be a good prospect. Never worked out with Montreal/ Washington after the Nomar mega trade.
