They went on sale this morning. I have some windows that got through, so if anyone wants me to try for them I can. I don't have my cellphone with me, so you'll have to pm me your info.

I have two open right now.

They sell them online now? Impressive. I remember the days of calling to get them. Those were followed by the days of calling for 10 minutes before getting through. And those were followed by the days of calling for 30 minutes before getting them.

All of those preceded the days of me not caring enough to go, of course. I'm glad they made it easier, though.

I had about 30 windows pop between two computers. Bought 4 passes. Not sure if I'll go yet but just incase.

That's what I did. I seriously doubt the wife will let me go again, but I picked up the passes and now I can work on persuading her.

I still have a few windows if someone wants to get some. I'm going to close them in about five minutes if I don't have any takers.

Huh. All sold out. That was fast. I believe passes for the 2004 convention took 3 hours to sell out over the phone.

I reserved a couple of the hotel rooms so I wouldnt have to worry about this today.

Tickets cost 50

Hotel room costs 200, plus 10 per ticket (up to four).

Finally got through at 10:20am by speed dialing 1 (800) The Cubs, on two seperate phones--- only to find out they had sold out. In honor of my deceased (Cub fan) father, me and my three sisters were going to meet up in Chicago, and try to go. I already have my hotel room...so, if somebody finds they can't go--- I definitely am interested.

Depending on how much you want to pay, stubhub has tickets for $100 a piece.

--Thanks Keener, that's an option...at a $100.00, plus hotel rooms for my sisters...I'm not sure how much they would want to go in with me on this. In other words, I'm not not sure I would have to pay.

Man, I wish I would hve known I could have gone online...or at least checked this website first--the fact that Vance and several others had windows open. So I guess the only choice I have is either stubhub or ebay.

Yeah Pretty much.

You going again this year, Vance?

I haven't received the ok from the wife, so it's fifty-fifty that I'll go. I went ahead and got the passes knowing I could unload them if the trip is denied. I also knew that I stood a better chance of getting the ok if I already had the passes.

So, we'll see. If I can't, I'm sure I won't have any trouble unloading these.

If you do go, please go to the Down on the Farm segment and take detailed notes (just like last year), plz. :D

I will. Haven't had a chance to talk to the wife about it yet. I'm at an education conference in Houston and sitting drunk in the hotel lobby right now.

Oh man. This is the one last thing I wanted to do before going into Air Force basic training. That starts the Tuesday after the Convention and I completely blanked on getting tickets for this.

Damnit.

Well, I've a big decision to make. It appears as if the wife might be inclined to let me attend. The problem is that the Cubs Convention could be happening while the Cowboys have a home playoff game. I'll have tickets for that game if it occurs, and Cowboys playoff game trumps Cubs Convention. However, if I decide to go to Cubs Convention, I'll have $$ tied up in non-refundable plane tickets and probably a hotel. So, if I make that commitment, it would be hard to back out if the Cowboys have that playoff game. Of course, if I pass up Cubs Convention and then the Cowboys don't host a playoff game then, I'm gonna be pissed...

decisions...decisions....decisions...

My dorm is only a couple blocks away from where they hold the convention and a good friend of mine's dorm window actually looks at the back entrance of the Hilton. I REALLY hope I can see all kinds of Cubs awesomeness for free.
