They're tied @ 4-0. Michigan's probably going to beat them this year.

Let's be honest:

Ohio State is not the best team in the nation.

Ohio State is number one because of a soft schedule thus far, not because they are good.

Ohio State won't end up winning the national championship.

Ohio State won't end up undefeated.

To be fair, BC isn't the second best team in the nation either.

I wish i shared the confidence that UM will get the job done this year, im definetly not as confident as I was earlier in the year.

Im not going to defend OSU but they are solid team. I have a hard time believing they are the best team but at the same time nobody really sticks out either. #1 by default sounds right. I like OU but they struggled verse Iowa State this week and didnt look to convincing.

Ive learned to never underestimate OSU's ability to win games, they might just run the table until the NCG game again. Penn State needs to take them down this weekend and end all this.

So when is it time to issue Bobby Bowden his walking papers? The team has been average at best for a few years now, and it seems to be getting worse. Couple that with S. Florida's rise, and soon getting top Florida talent will be even harder.

I know things run in cycles, but it seems like a change might be in order at FSU.

Bowden and Paterno will stop coaching when they want to stop coaching. no AD wants to be "that guy" who fired a coaching legend

You're probably right. But I wouldn't want to be the guy who let one of the premiere programs become 4th best in the state because I was afraid to pull the trigger, either.

I dunno. Unlike most here, I've always kind of liked FSU. It was kind of sad to see their game with Miami be so irrelevant. I think it's time for Bobby to hang it up.

I loved it. Couldn't think of 2 football teams whose irrelevance I'd enjoy more.

hopefully the penn state players take a break from raping women and have a good game against the buckeyes.

here's also hoping that the buckeye players earn their paychecks this saturday night

not an easy game to pick. Penn State has only lost at home once in the last 3 years, but Ohio State hasn't lost a regular season game since losing here in 2005. But it's Anthony Morelli against a good defense - which means I'll probably pick the Buckeye$.

For those of you who are questioning the supiority of the SEC. What are you thinking? They are better than the NFC and almost as good as the AFC. I know there is only 1 good non-conference win to support this evidence. They have no good non-conference road wins. But because ESPN and their fans say its so, it is. When the Big Ten beats them in the Citris Bowl and Outback Steak bowl, those games wont count because its our 2nd best against there almost 2nd best or something.

This is a losing arguement. The SEC is far and away better and just accept that.

Very weak roughing the kicker penalty against Va Tech on 4th and 33 gives BC a first down. Should have been running into the kicker. 10-0 Va Tech with 3 minutes left in the third.

BC just got a touchdown and then recovered the onsides kick. They're down 10-7 with 2 minutes left from their own 35.

EDIT: And BC is already down to the Va Tech 27.

BC gets a touchdown but there was an obvious holding call against BC so the TD will be coming back.

Holy crap. TD BC with 11 seconds to play. It was 3rd and 20 for BC with 20ish seconds left and rather than run the ball to set up a game tying field goal, BC passes the ball and gets a TD. They're now up 14-10.

btw i was out at the bar tonight and among the channels they had on was fsn pittsburgh, which was televising a western PA high school game. One of the players involved was terrelle pryor, the #1 recruit in the country. He's a beast. Come to Penn State plz.

hey is holding still a penalty? apparently not when boston college is on offense.

Apparently so.

there was an easy hold call on the one where he threw the game-winning td too. That's the thing about Matt Ryan, he's very mobile and throws really well on the run, but he runs around so much that his offensive line almost has to hold. I guess if the refs are blind or don't like calling holding, then it works out okay, but if you run into a crew that calls the game by the book, it's gonna be trouble.

I am not sure that last play was holding. I seen it a few times since this post and was looking real hard. It easily could have been the BC offensive lineman just letting the VT dlinemen use his own momentum to take him down. He doesnt have an arm around him and didnt seem to be grabbing him. Its hard to tell. I should record it and go over it a couple of times. I assume that I am looking at what you saw. I didnt see anything else that was close to obvious.
