Rockies win. Helton dancing around like they're in the postseason. Someone should tell them they have to face Peavy tomorrow.

Man, I hope the Rockies get in. I love having new teams in the postseason. That's why I love National League baseball: it's not the Yankees, Red Sox, Angels/Athletics, Twins/Indians every season.

 

Plus, even though they're white hot right now, we owned the Rockies this season.

Maybe it's just me but if I was Bud Black, I think I would have pitched Peavy today rather than sticking with Brett freaking Tomko. I don't get the mentality of "saving" Peavy for a one game playoff....seems like it would be better to throw Peavy against a mediocre Brewers team and avoid a playoff as opposed to now traveling to Colorado to play a hot Rockies team.

Peavy has been pretty terrible in games when he goes on 3-days rest, and if Peavy lost today with Colorado winning, you'd have Bret Tomko pitching in an uber-important playoff game.
