Who is pitching tomorrow?

 

They're sayind Lilly, but I can't see that happening. At least not more than an inning.

 

2 innings and then turn it over to Gallagher. He's not starting til Thursday anyways.

Ronnie Cedeno (Chicago): I hit in +.350 in AAA and under .200 in the Majors....is this normal?

 

SportsNation Jim Callis: (2:44 PM ET ) Nope. I still think Cedeno is worth taking a chance on and it wouldn't surprise me if he had a better career than Cubs fan favorite Ryan Theriot. He's still just 24.

Soto hitting over .400 now :shock:

 

Rich (DC): Seems like the Cubs have all but installed Geovany Soto in as their everyday catcher. If they win the division, do you think that's a risk worth taking in the postseason?

 

SportsNation Jim Callis: (3:11 PM ET ) Yes. He's better offensively and defensively than Jason Kendall right now. Kudos to Lou Piniella for realizing this and not just going with the veteran.

Monroe will probably get a spot on the playoff roster, but he's done absolutely nothing to deserve it.

 

I'd rather have Cedeno as our 2nd rightie off the bench (1st when Murton is starting and this is also assuming Soto is starting)

Our pitching can stop Philly's offense - I'm not convinced our offense can hit Arizona's or San Diego's pitching. That's why I want Philly.
