Mitch Atkins is easily having his best outing at AA - 5 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 1 K/1 BB.

Ryan Acosta gets the start for Mesa. I'm hoping James Russell gets some game action at Mesa soon.

Is Vitters playing in Mesa yet?

No. I expect he'll be getting into games by the end of this week. Carrie Muskat still is saying they'd like to see Vitters get to Boise this season which is really surprising to me.

Atkins with a great outing today but lacked the strikeouts: 7 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 6 H, 1 K/1 BB.

Ryan Acosta with a great first pro start - 3 shutout innings with 4 Ks and 1 hit.

Huseby has been awful with the control - 5 BB in 3+ IP before he was pulled. Tony Thomas with a 2-run HR.

Wow, Boise nearly had a double or triple play as Oscar Bernard let a bunt pop drop...only to have the ump say it was an IF fly. Edited by CaliforniaRaisin

ha, you sure he let it drop on purpose? he was never thinking that far ahead with the Chiefs...

Heh. Yeah, the Boise announcer was really commending him for his quick thinking.

They seem to be intent on building up Alessandro Maestri's stamina as a reliever. That's twice in the last two weeks he was used three days in a row.

Its cause we are trying to male the playoffs and he and Ruhlman give us that chance at the end of games...
