Looks the game will start on time, but I expect a delay probably within an hour of that, maybe for an entire hour or more...after that, provided we don't get flooded out, the game should be able to be finished today. I hope Lilly works fast.

Looking at the radar maps, they could get this one in without a delay possibly.

Expand out to the national radar.

Ahh, that was my undoing. I think it'll take longer than an hour and a half from now (one hour into the game) for that mess to get to Wrigley.

I think we should score 5 quick runs and then get through 5 quick innings and then bring on the rain as far as I care (except I'd like their flight not to be delayed so they can get to SF in decent time.

If the stuff directly to the south/southwest stays away from Wrigley, that stuff in Iowa shouldn't be an issue for a long time. Over the course of an hour the front edge didn't move a whole heck of a lot, according to the radar loop. Unfortunately that stuff between Aurora and Joliet looks like it might head toward Wrigley pretty quickly.

That's OK. We'll muscle up 6 quickies and leave StL weeping as the game is called after it's official.

I got my magic 8 ball out today. It's totally confirmed

Yeah, you and rickrolled are right. That stuff coming up from the SW suddenly looks more likely to hit Wrigley.

with unstable air in place, rain can develop - it doesn't have to move from somewhere else necessarily.

Certainly possible.

I'm still holding out on listening or watching the games for the good of the team. (You're welcome, everyone.)

Anyone willing to do PBP?

I think Gameday doesn't count. It's just fancier PBP.
