i was at a rays game earlier this year...after he was demoted to the pen...there were a couple of hyperactive dude sitting a couple of rows in front of me and fossum walked from the pen up by us and they screamed, "You suck!"

 

while it is true that he sucks...i did feel really bad for the dude because he actually looks like a really nice guy

He's been around these parts ... playing the part of Juan Cruz. Every ML team has these players.

All of a sudden, he became very hittable. Not quite sure why... though I wouldn't gamble on him during the postseason run to find out.

We could get him and keep him in the minors, then tinker with him next year. I remember all the hype about him, if he could fulfill half of that he'd be a nice #5 for when Prior is still hurt and Marquis is getting rocked.

Maybe a change of scenery is all that's needed. Something bad happens to young pitchers not named Kazmir when they pitch for TB.

 

That said, I wouldn't sign him unless it was strictly a minor league deal.
