Rome asked Giles about Kendall (they're tight) and Giles said that Kendall has a very painful hand injury that he hasn't told anyone about.

If he really has that injury and he really hasn't told anyone about it, then I doubt he and Giles will be so close anymore.

Kendall is producing here.

.271/.375/.354

He is starting to hit, but don't mention catching the ball or throwing out runners.

Give him a break on that one too, I think.

Needs some time to get used to the staff.

Most of his throws to get runners aren't even close.

on most of them, he hasn't had a chance.

What does him not catching balls, or throwing out runners, have to do with learning the staff? They have nothing to do with each other.

Kendall's throws have been awful, no doubt about it. But with that said, most of the Cubs pitchers don't do a good job of holding runners on, so you can't put all of the blame on him.
