Hey Fred, you have stats on Kendall since he joined the Cubs? I'm curious if his OBP is over .300 yet.

 

I can research Baseball Reference myself, I suppose. :)

 

Including tonight, Kendall's OBP is at .314. Still bad, but not pathetic anymore.

Yeah, I think I counted that he's 6 for his last 16 with 1 BB since his horrible first couple games with the Cubs. It's hard to tell if he can keep anything like that up or not.

Kerry Wood comes in with none on and 1 out in the 6th inning:

 

Wood vs. Monzon:

 

Ball 1 low.

Ball 2.

Ball 3 outside.

Ball 4. Bases on balls.

 

Wood vs. Rivera:

 

Ball 1 low.

Strike 1 looking (92 mph).

Strike 2 swinging (changeup).

Fouled off.

Strike 3 swinging. Two outs.

 

Wood vs. Minaker:

 

Popout to second base. Three outs.

 

7th inning:

 

Wood vs. Johnson:

 

Strike 1 looking.

Strike 2 looking (breaking ball).

5-3 groundout on a great play by Kyle Reynolds. One out.

So they went from cable exclusive, to not cable at all? Or not EI Cable at least....again...odd...oh well...that's what...5 games a year?

 

That's right, they weren't on EI anywhere before, now they're on DirecTV's EI exclusively.

 

It's not terribly signifcant, as 99% of the games are still available on mlb.tv. Of course, if you're trying to follow the Padres or Phillies with cable's EI, you're going to deal with 100% road announcers and from time to time, no game at all.
