This whole Jock Jones being good thing is starting to mess with my perception of reality. I mean, if you can't count on Jock to suck, what CAN you count on??

 

He was actually good last year. This shouldn't be all that surprising.

 

Well part of the problem about last year is that he was good when we were already out of it and it didn't matter. Maybe he's found a way to recapture that mentality he had when winning and losing was not on the line.

Plus, Jones started out slow last year, and he didn't really pick it up until after the middle of May, when I quit watching for health reasons (the health of everyone around me, that is). So I don't really know what it's like to see him get base hits multiple days in a row.

 

I'd like to remember what it's like to not hate Marquis now :evil:

Marquis is still having a good outing. He should easily get through 7, and maybe the 8th if he's effective/efficient. That would be a huge lift.

It's only a 1-run game, so they aren't even out of it. It's just a question of whether or not they'll put up a second and third run.

 

I agree though. Ramirez will have two 8th-inning RBIs. Let's just hope the DBacks don't put up 4 or 5 more between now and then.
