6. Cesar Izturis, 2005 Los Angeles Dodgers

 

Rey Ordonez, widely considered the nadir of all-field, no-hit shortstoppery, averaged .246 with two homers and 48 RBI over nine seasons. Izturis, a 2005 All-Star, has thus far averaged .258 with two dingers and 45 ribbies. With a .242/0/8 line in limited duty this year, Izturis could actually end up having worse career averages than the punchline-of-futility that was Ordonez.

 

 

This is just all kinds of depressing.

Two other former Cubs (Ron Coomer and Kent Bottenfield) are also on the list. If this list had gone back further than 10 years Steve Swisher might have been #1.

Some of those players were filthy and got hurt (Zim)

 

yeah, it's not really fair to include him. He was amazing the first half of the season that he made the ASG, and he wouldn't have fallen off so badly if not for the arm issues.
